2017 Escape features a new center console with convenient media bin to stow your essentials, an ergonomically placed gear shifter, an easy-to-navigate center instrument panel, and a stylish 3-spoke steering wheel with available heat feature. And, of course, there’s plenty of cargo-carrying capacity to accommodate your next adventure.

Included among the features in the Titanium Technology Package are bi-xenon HID (high-intensity discharge) headlamps, which provide a brighter light, last longer, and use less energy than conventional bulbs. Complementing the headlamps are signature light-emitting diodes (LEDs).

The efficiency-minded attitude of the Escape goes further with the addition of available Auto Start-Stop Technology, which can help reduce fuel consumption and vehicle emissions during city driving. While the vehicle is stopped, the engine automatically shuts off and then seamlessly restarts when you step on the accelerator or when your foot leaves the brake pedal. Included with the available 1.5L and 2.0L EcoBoost® engines.

When you’re approaching a curve on wet or dry pavement, standard electronic Curve Control can sense if you’re going too fast and slow you down using throttle reduction and anti-lock braking. Once you’re into the curve, G-forces tend to transfer more traction to the outside tires than to the inside ones. Standard Torque Vectoring Control enhances that by transferring torque to the wheels that have the most grip, reducing understeer and forcing the front end to hug the inside of the curve.

Standard AdvanceTrac® with Roll Stability Control™ (RSC®) uses two gyroscopic sensors to monitor yaw and roll rates. This allows AdvanceTrac with RSC to help you maintain control whenever it detects wheelslip, understeer, oversteer or roll motion. It also helps maintain control in various road conditions such as ice, gravel or rain. AdvanceTrac with RSC also features Curve Control, which will slow the vehicle down when it senses that it’s going too fast for a particular curve.39 Trailer Sway Control, too, is included in the Class II Trailer Tow Prep Package.
